Sleeping on a beautiful ship gives a romantic feeling of freedom. In the wheelhouse you have a romantic view of the water and the harbor. The clipper also has a wonderfully large terrace for relaxing. And on site you have all you need to relax. We have room for 4 people on board to sleep.

How to get there

By car from the A10 Amsterdam ring highway, take the Volendam exit.

With the Bus from Amsterdam Central Station take bus 316 (15 minutes).

About the area

Our location is on a marina. There is always something to do or see. It is just a 10-minute walk to the village's center, where many different restaurants are located. We'd recommend visiting the historical center of the village. It's a great reflection of the past.

The supermarket is a 15-minute walk, but we also have bicycles that you can use, if they are available. In case they aren't we can rent them for you. To go to Amsterdam you can easily take the bus, this takes 15 minutes and it does not stop along the way. You can also go to Volendam and to Marken by boat.

    A lovely, welcoming lady

    We stayed four nights on board and loved every moment of being there. From the bridgehouse you have wonderful views of the Markermeer. The peace is broken only by the dabchicks, coots and the carillion. The internal layout is compact, comfortable and well thought out with a gas cooker, fridge + freezer and a dishwasher in the kitchen. Its situation allows access to either Amsterdam or the countryside with equal ease. Monnickendam is a pretty town with good eating places and a busy marina. The owner was charming and helpful.

    Historic ship tastefully updated. Complete modern equipment with air conditioning. Nice big terrace with furniture and great view. Cozy wheelhouse. Very friendly and helpful landlady. Good connection to Amsterdam. Idyllic little place with a romantic harbor and restaurants as well as a supermarket. Good starting point for excursions. We felt very comfortable.

    Staying on Sandra's ship is fantastic

    Staying on Sandra's ship is fantastic. It is clean, spacious, luxurious and fun. The view over the water is superb. Sandra is a wonderful host and she makes you feel at home. we will certainly come back.

    Lovely classic boat

    Lovely classic boat located in a beautiful village, plenty to do locally. We rented bikes and cycled to Amsterdam and Volendam. Local restaurants and bars are all great!

    20 minutes by car into central Amsterdam or 40 minute bike ride.

    Sandra is very friendly, the houseboat is dog friendly and you have everything you need on the boat.
