This was in an absolutely great location. A quiet area but close enough to walk to the busier areas. 10/15 min stroll along the canal to Central Station, the main city, the famous Red Light district. There is a fab supermarket 200m away. The world famous Gassan Diamond building is right behind the houseboat offering free guided tours of how they make the diamonds. The houseboat is compact and bijou but has everything you could need for a stay. The view of the canal with the huge opening windows is superb and tranquil with a few water birds and boats going by. Using the app “around me” found 2 sensational restaurants that we pre-booked while we were there, “The seafood bar” & “Hemelse Modder”. The communication with Maria, the owner, was faultless. Would we stay here again………. Absolutely! Wouldn’t even look to stay anywhere else in Amsterdam next time after staying here. *****

Ideal location in Amsterdam. Nice accommodation to spend a few nights with just the two of you.

The description provided is a match for what you experience. The interior is warm, bright, clean and comfortable. You easily can walk just about anywhere popular, with endless food, drink options right around you. The central train station is about 15 minutes away. Be sure to arrange a time to meet the host -- and arrive at that time -- as you need to get the key to get in.

We spent 3 wonderful days on this fully equipped houseboat. The accommodation has about 25 square meters, a nice bathroom and a beautiful view of the canal. It's a pleasure to open the floor-to-ceiling windows and enjoy life around you. It was absolutely the right decision to spend our stay here. The owner Maria was also very accommodating and helpful. The supermarket is just around the corner, as are all sights within walking distance. You were right in the middle and still had your peace. A dream and gladly again.
